Local logistics startup Pargo has announced its partnership and support of the Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon, an annual event dedicated to breast cancer awareness month.

Michaela Gabriel, Head of Marketing at Pargo comments on the partnership and the startup's involvement in the initiative.

It is an absolute privilege to partner with Avon for such an amazing cause. Our extensive network of pickup points, located in popular stores like Clicks, allow entrants to easily collect their gift bags wherever they are, whenever they want to.

The partnership
Each year for the walkathon event, participants showcase their support for breast cancer awareness by walking together in pink outfits. The event aims to encourage individuals to go for regular screenings.

Due to Covid-19, the event will not be held collectively but instead, participants can take part from where ever they are located. To encourage individuals to take part, the first 10 000 participants will receive a gift bag that is filled with items from Avon and Pargo.

For the partnership, these packages will be available across all the Pargo Pickup points, encouraging everyone far and wide in the country to take part in the event. The delivery of these gift bags are free of charge and if you are one of the first 10 000 entrants it will be readily available and easy to collect.
