Nairobi-based electric vehicle (EV) mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) startup Mazi Mobility has officially launched its electric motorcycle service as a clean, affordable and efficient form of public transport for local commuters.

Mazi Mobility
Founded in 2019, Mazi Mobility is a tech startup that aims to place Greentech on the forefront of the tech industry by implementing much-needed services and products that are both tech-driven and eco-friendly.
Titled Magnus 3000, these unique and electric bodas are an eco-friendly alternative to the current petrol-driven bodas in Kenya.
In addition, the tech startup is implementing battery swapping stations that provide on-demand energy sources. According to Mazi Mobility, the use of electric motorcycles as a form of public transport aims to reduce transportation costs by 50% .
The MK3 reportedly offers a choice between a single and dual battery. This battery is capable of travelling up to 70km and 140km in range.
Mazi Mobility claims to be currently working with boda operators, technical institutions, and manufacturers in its multi-stakeholder approach to drive the e-mobility sector in the country.
