egypt gaming marketplace gamesbandy receives 40k investment
GamesBandy has received $40,000 in grant funding from MENA Saudi startup accelerator Taqadam . This is only four months after earlier receiving an undisclosed seed funding from Tamkeen and Flat6Labs. GamesBandy will channel the grant towards revamping its platform to support more games, expand the user base, and geographical reach. The deal includes 6 months of mentorship, training, and zero-equity funding from Taqadam.

GamesBandy was founded by Abdulrahman Aboshamah in 2020 and touts its solution to safety when transacting on in-game items. Issues of the safety of the buyers and sellers getting robbed of their in-item trades while running on discord servers or other chat-based platforms that offer no protection to their buyers and sellers, are solved. Platform users can safely transact safely with one another where GamesBandy takes a commission.

Abdulrahman Aboshamah, the founder of GamesBandy expressed excitement over the support from Taqadam, pointing out how it shall " have a great impact on the gaming community."

The gaming marketplace startup targets the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) giving users an opportunity to trade accounts, buy inside-game items and sell their old high-level accounts. The platform enables users to safely transact offering trust and validity to their purchases and sales. Profits are also earned as a commission of the sales where users can benefit from a trustworthy and safe platform to trade their gaming items.

Takadam was launched in 2016 and is powered by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (leading Saudi Arabia University) and SABB.
